Don’t forget…tomorrow, Saturday, May 18, 2013, is your opportunity to catch a presentation and pick up a signed copy of Death Rides the Sky at the beautiful Red Wagon Restaurant in Poseyville, Ind., where the Posey County Historical Society is holding a breakfast starting at 10 a.m!

I did a presentation last year for the PCHS at the library in Mt. Vernon, and it was well-attended and well-received. There is so much about this tornado that remains unknown, but I tried my hardest to dig in and find the stories that hadn’t been told, and all before the survivors (who were up in age when I originally conducted interviews for the book, in 1999-2000) were gone…so it’s my hope that there will be something new and interesting you can learn about this huge and historic weather event that went right through Posey and Gibson counties and caused so much grief and damage in its wake.

The PCHS has amazing photos of post-tornado damage, many never before seen, that they acquired years ago quite by accident…I’m sure those will be available for viewing, so you have to come see them! As well, the Red Wagon is an awesome place to eat, so that will be a pleasant aspect of the day. Come on out…breakfast starts at 9, presentation at 10….hope to see you there!
